GFS Korea is affiliated with the Anglican church of Korea within the Anglican Communion.
History:
GFS Korea was established in September, 1965 as the World Project of the 5th GFS World Council in Japan. In 2008, Korea hosted the 19th GFS World Council in Seoul. GFS Korea celebrated the 50th Anniversary in 2015.
Vision: To serve and support neglected and weakened women in the changing world. To encourage service to others in the communities in which we live. To share hope and joy and to grow our faith. To promote the communal spirit of GFS and maintain Koinonia.
Mission: To provide programs to support growth and development of girls and women. To support members to grow in Christ through fellowship, worship, study and service.
Our work: Women’s education, Parental education, Nurturing juniors. To help and support the sharing house and to support illegal women laborers from overseas and from within Korea. To collaborate with the work of Mothers’ Union, Women’s group united, women priests, committee for building women’s mission centre etc. The women of Anglican Church of Korea came together to finally establish Women’s Mission Centre in 2016.
There are 15 branches of GFS in 3 dioceses with 300 members.
GFS Korea has managed 2008 World Project and ever since.

CAFÉ GRACE: an actual business for helping the women defectors from North Korea by providing job opportunities and job training.

2nd Branch of Café Grace was opened at Dongseo Hanbang Hospital in 2015, but was closed in 2020 due to the financial hardship caused from COVID-19.
Scholarship support: support the lives of women defectors’ family by providing scholarship for the children. From 2017 to 2019, supported 3 children annually. Currently (2020 - present), due to the financial hardship caused from COVID-19, this scholarship support has been suspended.
U-Mul-Ga project aims and goals:
· To provide basic law education, economic education necessary to survive.
· To be a place for exchanging cultures between North and South Korea.
· To play a part in strengthening the basis of unification
