GFS commenced in the Diocese of Kigali in 2016. The GFS Rwanda proposed activities:
Creative multi-generational gatherings of women for prayer, fellowship and Bible study
Small group discipleship and Bible Studies
Monthly Moms and Tots meetings – educational opportunity for young mothers
Participation in the GFS world day of prayer
Trainings in Biblical and cultural expectations of women – particularly in preparation for marriage
A safe place for young ladies and women in need of or seeking refuge (ie. in the case of pregnancy, abuse or other hardship – may also include teachings on the sanctity of life)
Support of vulnerable women through teaching and trainings – may also include encouraging/supporting cooperatives and savings esp. in rural areas
Serving local churches by supporting children’s ministries and Sunday School (
Mentorship – connecting women of MU to young ladies in GFS
May also include teachings on topics such as home management, finances, Bible study skills, finding your identity in Christ, identifying and resisting temptations., leadership and the richness of found in the Rwandan culture.
